Lady Chapel (Endel)
The Marienkapelle is a Catholic chapel in the Endel farmers , Visbek municipality .
history
In the peasantry Endel it is already in the Middle Ages have been a chapel, which was probably destroyed. The current chapel was built in 1694. In 1830 it was supposed to be demolished due to its disrepair , but it was restored. It was rebuilt from 1883 to 1884.
Building description
The Marienkapelle is a half-timbered building with a roof turret and oval windows. Two coats of arms are dated to 1694. Inside there is a low wooden beam ceiling .
Furnishing
A Pietà (end of the 17th century) attached to the east wall above the altar is attributed to Bernd Meyering from Rheine . The communion bench , decorated with festoons and rocailles , dates from the late 18th century.
