The Church of St. Mary (in Polish Kościół św. Marii Magdaleny w Cieszynie ) in Cieszyn , Poland , is a Catholic church located near the Old Town Market Square. It is consecrated to Mary Magdalene .
history
The church was built in the middle of the 13th century in the Romanesque style as a Dominican church. The church was built near the market square. It was later rebuilt in the Gothic style and became Protestant in 1544. In 1611 it came back to the Dominicans and in 1784 became a parish church. From 1789 it was expanded in the classical style.
