The Starosel Gate (English; Bulgarian Староселска порта Staroselska porta ) is a 150 m wide and 500 m high mountain pass on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the Levski Ridge of the Tangra Mountains, it lies between St. Naum Peak and the northern end of the Balchik Ridge . It represents the overland connection between the Bojana Glacier and the upper section of the Macy Glacier .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after the town of Starosel in central Bulgaria .
