The Marian column is a monument in Bozen by the sculptor Andreas Kompatscher . It is located in the Marienpark in front of the Goethe School .

The Marian Column was erected in 1909 in memory of the cholera epidemic that decimated the Bolzano population in 1836; According to the inscription, 216 of the 1191 people who suffered from “Asian cholera” died. It is a column with a Corinthian capital . On it the statue of Our Lady . Various biblical figures are arranged around the Marian column, such as the prophet Moses with the tablets of the law .

The Marian Column was listed as a historical monument in 2009 and underwent extensive restoration in 2019.
