Marian column in Kienberg

The Marian column in Kienberg , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , was inaugurated in 1906. The Marian column is a protected monument . It stands at the intersection between the streets from Emertsham, Trostberg and Schnaitsee.

The Marian column stands on a tuff stone base that is used as a fountain basin. The fountain outlet is through a lion's head. A plaque on the back of the fountain reminds of the three reasons for the installation: the completion of the water supply for the town, the establishment of the Catholic parish a hundred years earlier and the centenary of the Kingdom of Bavaria .

On the column there is a gold-plated figure of Mary made of metal.
