Detailed view of the sandstone sculpture

The Marian column in Unterrammingen , a district of the village of Rammingen in the central Swabian district of Unterallgäu in Bavaria , was built in 1865 and is a listed building. The column was built by the Mindelheim stonemason Johann Reiling. It is located in the middle of the village at a fork in the road. The Marian column is made of sandstone and is partially gold-plated. The base bears the inscription Erected in the year / 1865 / Renewed 1905, 1952. Above the column there is a Baroque-style capital from which chains of flowers hang. The figure on the column is neo-Gothic with baroque echoes.
