Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot ( Occitan : Santa Liorada d'Olt ) is a French town with 6459 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and is the capital (French: chef-lieu ) of the canton of Le Livradais .

The commune of Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot is located on the Lot River . It is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Casseneuil in the north, Bias in the east, Allez-et-Cazeneuve in the southeast, Dolmayrac in the south, Le Temple-sur-Lot in the southwest, Saint-Étienne-de-Fougères in the west and Pinel-Hauterive in the northwest .
The former Route nationale 111 and Route nationale 667 run through the municipality .
history
The settlement history of the community goes back to the Iron Age. The current village was founded as a bastide in 1289.
