Montayral is a municipality with 2680 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in France in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Montayral belongs to the Arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and the Canton of Le Fumélois .
geography
The Lot River forms the northern border of the municipality of Montayral, which borders the Lot department to the east . Montayral is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fumel in the north, Soturac in the northeast, Mauroux in the east and southeast, Thézac in the south and southeast, Bourlens in the south, Saint-Georges in the southwest and Saint-Vite in the west.
The Fumel-Montayral airfield is located in the municipality.
