There is a general ethnological interest in these structures made of stacked wooden beams that were built in the area between the 14th and 17th centuries. This house in the district of Mazières underwent renovations in the 16th century due to the economic and social developments in the area. The wooden walls are reminiscent of huts in Northern Europe or in the mountains. A half-timbered partition wall separates the two rooms of the house, one for storing the harvest, the other for living. The house and its extension in the same construction have been classified as a monument historique since January 25, 1996 . It is not open to the public.
