Pinel-Hauterive ( Occitan : Pinel e Auteriba ) is a French municipality with 572 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and is part of the canton of Le Livradais (until 2015: canton of Monclar ).

Pinel-Hauterive is located about 25 kilometers north-north-west of Agen am Lot , which borders the municipality in the south-east. Pinel-Hauterive is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Beaugas in the north and northeast, Saint-Pastour in the northeast, Casseneuil in the east, Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot in the south and southeast, Saint-Étienne-de-Fougères in the south and southeast, Monclar in the West and Montastruc in the northwest.

In 1972, the previously independent municipality of Saint-Pierre-de-Caubel was incorporated.
