Attractions

Parish Church of Saint-Pierre

The choir of the church probably dates from the 12th century. It was rebuilt at the end of the 15th or the beginning of the 16th century. Its entrance portal and the aisle to the south are left over from this construction period. In 1572 the church was partially destroyed in the Huguenot Wars , before 1597 it was restored and vaulted . In 1871 the ribbed vaults of the main and side aisles were restored. The sacristy was built between 1887 and 1889 according to plans by the architect Adolphe Gilles. At the same time the roof was renewed with hollow tiles.

The church contains three sculptures from the 18th century, which are inscribed as Monuments historiques . These are depictions of Mary with baby Jesus , St. Joseph and John the Baptist .

Saint-Gervais parish church

The walls of the choir and the nave were probably built in the 12th century. The western entrance portal has a pointed arch shape and was created at the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century. Between 1878 and 1880, under the direction of the architect of the arrondissement, Adolphe Gilles, and the building contractor Brousse, the choir and the bell gable were rebuilt, the church interior redesigned, the windows of the nave reworked and the sacristy built. In 1997 the interior and exterior plaster was removed.
