Villeréal is a French commune with 1,279 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and the canton of Le Haut Agenais Périgord (until 2015: canton of Villeréal ).
geography
Villeréal is about 16 kilometers north of Villeneuve-sur-Lot . The Dropt limits the community in the northwest. Villeréal is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rives in the north, Rayet in the north and northeast, Saint-Martin-de-Villeréal in the east, Dévillac in the southeast, Saint-Étienne-de-Villeréal in the south, Saint-Eutrope-de-Born in the southwest, Montaut in the west and south-west, Bournel in the west and Mazières-Naresse in the north-west.
The former Route nationale 676 runs through the municipality .
