Frespech ( Occitan Frespuèg ) is a French municipality with 293 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and the Fumel Vallée du Lot municipal association, which was founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called Frespechois .
geography
The community Frespech is located in the Agenais , about 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Agen . The 11.7 km² community area is characterized by forests and high plateaus with fields and pastures. The flowing waters in the municipality drain over the Tancanne to the Boudouyssou in the catchment area of the Lot .
Frespech includes the villages of Comberatière, Vimenet, Garbil, Fompesquière, Lapoussonie, Sautecrabe and Fontevernié as well as other hamlets and individual farms.
Neighboring communities of Frespech are Auradou in the north, Massoulès in the northeast, Massels in the east, Blaymont in the southeast, Cauzac in the south, Cassignas in the west and Hautefage-la-Tour in the northwest.

Economy and Infrastructure
21 farms are located in Frespech (cereal and oilseed cultivation, herb and medicinal plant cultivation, cattle, sheep, goats, horses and poultry). Frespech is also the location of a pyrotechnics factory (Artifices et techniques pyrotechniques Maurice / ATPM) based in Hautefage-la-Tour .
The D 656 trunk road runs from Agen to Cahors on the southern border of Frespech . In the city of Agen, 20 kilometers away, there is a connection to the Autoroute A 62 from Bordeaux to Toulouse . The Laroque-Timbaut train station, seven kilometers away, is on the railway line from Niversac to Agen.
