Marienthal (municipality of Gramatneusiedl)
Marienthal is the name of a district of Gramatneusiedl in Lower Austria.
The district is a former workers' settlement that was created in connection with the Marienthal textile factory . Parts of the original settlement have been destroyed for years.
The settlement became famous through a study carried out shortly after the textile factory closed in the 1930s by Marie Jahoda , her husband Paul Lazarsfeld and Hans Zeisel about the unemployed in Marienthal . All three were employees at the Austrian Business Psychological Research Center .
