Marietta Jeschke (born May 28, 1945 as Elke Marietta Thiele in Reichenbach in Vogtland ) is a German painter , graphic artist , sculptor and object artist .

Life

After completing her training as a farmer, Marietta Jeschke worked in various professions (including offset retouching and museum assistant). At the age of 43 she decided to make a living as a freelance artist. The Chemnitz graphic artist Thomas Ranft (artist group Clara Mosch ) supported the artist as a mentor for her admission to the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR (VBK), which took place in 1988.

In 1989 she founded a producers' gallery "Maison d'Art" in Reichenbach in Vogtland, which later moved to Netzschkau and opened with the exhibition "Impressions from Paris". She was one of the founders of the association for the promotion of contemporary art “Kunsthalle Vogtland” eV
