Marigot (Haiti)

The port city of Marigot (Creole: Marigo ) is located in southern Haiti on the island of Hispaniola on the Caribbean Sea in the Jacmel district about 13 km east of Jacmel on the R 208. It is part of the Sud-Est department .

Before the January 2010 earthquake , it had a population of just over 50,000.

Poitiers (France) and Marigot have been twin cities since 2009.
