The awarding of the Golden Camera in 2001 took place on 6 February 2001 in the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin instead. It was the 36th award of this award. The audience was greeted by Michael Lohmann (Editor-in-Chief Hörzu ). Désirée Nosbusch was the moderator . About 1000 guests took part in the event.
