Sabi Dorr

Sabi Dorr (also Sabi Dor ; Hebrew סבי דור; born August 24, 1943 in Haifa ) is an Israeli actor .

Life

Dorr began acting in his home country in the late 1960s. In 1968 he worked there alongside Shmuel Rodensky in Tevje and his seven daughters , a German-Israeli co-production by Artur Brauner . He came to Germany through his participation in the Western Carlos (1971) filmed in Israel and from then on also worked in German-speaking countries. Dorr also played in some erotic comedies in the 1970s, which corresponded to the taste of the time. In 1977 he was in the role of Dr. Singh with Heinz Rühmann in the film The Chinese Miracle . In the television series A Piece of Heaven , he played the Polish lieutenant Cuba . In Patrik Pacard he was Ibrahim's kidnapper in 1984 .

Dorr also had regular episode roles in television series, including SOKO 5113 , Derrick , Der Alte , Großstadtrevier and Faust . He was often used as a villain, criminal or gangster. Dorr was also seen on the big screen, sometimes in international productions. In 2005 he played in Munich with Steven Spielberg .

In addition, he played theater in Berlin in the 1970s , including in theater productions under the direction of Luc Bondy . In 1979 he was in Berlin at the Freie Volksbühne together with Rosel Zech in Bondy's production of Anton Chekhov's play Platonov in the role of Isaak Wengerowitsch . In August 1983/84 he played the role of the student Perchik in a series of performances of the musical Anatevka at the Deutsches Theater in Munich , again together with Shmuel Rodensky . In 1984 he played at the Düsseldorfer Kammerspiele in the play Kingdom on Earth by Tennessee Williams .
