The Mariina skála (German: Marienfels ) is a 428 m nm high rock mountain in Bohemian Switzerland not far from Jetřichovice (Dittersbach) in the Czech Republic . It was named after Princess Marie Kinsky in the 19th century. Before that, the elevation was called Spitzgestein or Grosser Spitziger .
A wooden shelter hut was built on it in 1856 under Ferdinand Bonaventura Prince Kinsky . a. served as a fire watch . On the night of September 9, 2005, the hut was badly damaged by a forest fire. The damage amounted to CZK 200,000 . Another forest fire in the area around Marienfelsen occurred on July 22nd, 2006. The hut - which had only been renewed three weeks earlier - was spared. In the 19th century, the Kinsky family took care of expanding the rock world around Dittersbach. The Marienfels is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Bohemian Switzerland.
