Marilyn Bailey Ogilvie (born March 22, 1936 ) is an American historian of science .

Life

Marilyn Bailey Ogilvie studied biology at Baker University (BA 1957), zoology at the University of Kansas (MA 1959) and received a PhD in history of science from the University of Oklahoma (OU) in 1973 . In 1983 she earned a Masters in Library Science from the OU.

She taught at Oklahoma Baptist University from 1979 and became Professor of Science History at the University of Oklahoma and curator of the university's history of science collection in 1991.

One focus of her work and her publications is the history of women in science.
