Marin Dan

Marin Dan (born August 30, 1948 in Ștefăneşti ) is a former Romanian handball player .

Life

Dan started in the junior team at Tanarul Dinamovist and moved to CS Dinamo Bucuresti at the age of 19. In 1970 he came to the Romanian national team. There he was used 98 times and won the world championship title with the team at the handball world championship in Berlin in 1974 . Two years earlier, he won a bronze medal with the team at the Olympic Games in Munich .

In 1993 he became an honorary member of the Romanian Handball Federation (Federatiei Romane de Handbal). He has also received several awards. Among other things with the Ordinul "Meritul Sportiv" and the Loyalty Order "Serviciul credincios".
