Classic petrol stations is the brand name for a petrol station network operated by Christian Lühmann GmbH , based in Hoya in Lower Saxony . The Classic brand operates petrol stations and sells lubricants at over 140 locations .
Gas stations
The petrol stations are mainly located in northern Germany in the area from northern Schleswig-Holstein to the urban centers of Osnabrück and Hanover . There are now classic petrol stations in Saxony-Anhalt , North Rhine-Westphalia , Hesse , Rhineland-Palatinate , Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg .
Lubricants
The range of in-house lubricants includes the brands Classic, Fuchs, Petro Canada, Total and Glysantin. The product range includes engine oils and motorcycle lubricants, but also gear and hydraulic oils, as well as many other commercially available lubricants.
Companies
Company history
Fritz Lühmann founded an agricultural business in 1882, which his son Christian registered as Christian Lühmann GmbH & Co. KG . In 1925 Fritz Lühmann, Christian's son, took over the business and concentrated on selling lubricants. The great-grandson of the company's founder, Hans Lühmann, expanded the business to include customer service and the establishment of a petrol station network, thus laying the foundation for today's company. Birgit Lühmann, Hans's daughter, joined the company in 1983 to support her father and launched the Classic brand . During her time in the company, she also started a cooperation with Bernburger Mineralölvertrieb, which is now a 100% subsidiary of the company. Fritz Lühmann, Birgit Lühmann's brother, was brought into the company in 1993. In 2010 Fritz Lühmann's son-in-law, Lorenz Kiene, joined the company. In 2013 the company expanded the business to include logistics with the 50% subsidiary Lubricant Logistics Nord (SLN).

The Christian Lühmann GmbH acts as since 1 January 2011 Holding and service provider for the operating companies. Classic Tankstellen GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for operating the Classic petrol stations . CLASSIC Lubricant GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for the distribution of lubricants . Since 2002 Lühmann Tankstellen Betriebs GmbH & Co. KG has been operating several petrol stations directly as the leaseholder of Tankstellen KG. SLN-Schmierstoff Logistik Nord GmbH & Co. KG , founded in 2006 as a 50% subsidiary of Schmierstoff KG, started operations in 2013 for purchasing, storage, filling and logistics for lubricants and other products. It is now 100% owned by Lubricant KG. Christian Lühmann GmbH also offers electricity and natural gas to private and commercial consumers through Bernburger Mineralölvertrieb Lühmann GmbH & Co. KG (BMV) and holds a majority stake in Autohaus Grünhagen GmbH & Co. KG, which was founded in 1958.
Sponsorship
Classic has sponsored teams as well as individual racing drivers from the motorsport sector since 2015. These include the motocross team CLASSIC OIL / SHR Motorsports from Heemsen , the kart racing driver Leon Oldewage from Drebber , the stock car team Outsiders from Martfeld , the rally team Rathkamp / Knacker and the speedway driver Niels Oliver Wessel .
