Marina Chalturina ( Kazakh Марина Халтурина , English transcription Marina Khalturina ; born June 17, 1974 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Kazakh figure skater who started in pair skating , in the last year of her career in individual skating .

Career

Marina Chalturina took part in international competitions with Andrej Krukow between 1994 and 1998. In 1998 they finished 14th at the Winter Olympics in Nagano. After the couple separated in 1999, Chalturina found a new partner in Valeri Artjuchow . However, after just one season, they separated again. Chalturina tried another season without much success as a single skater before ending her figure skating career in 2001.
