Mario Greco

Mario Greco (born June 16, 1959 in Naples ) is an Italian insurance manager . He has headed the Zurich Insurance Group since March 2016 .

Life

Greco studied economics in Rome and at the University of Rochester in the United States . After completing his studies, he worked for McKinsey in Milan from 1986 to 1994 . From 1995 he worked for the insurance company RAS , a subsidiary of the German Allianz . From 2007 Greco worked for the Zurich Insurance Group in Switzerland. In 2012, Greco moved to the Italian insurance company Assicurazioni Generali as the successor to the previous head Giovanni Perissinotto . Since March 2016, he has headed the Zurich Insurance Group as Group Chief Executive Officer and member of the Executive Committee. He succeeded Martin Senn .

Greco lives in Küsnacht .
