Mario Grossniklaus

Mario Grossniklaus (born October 12, 1976 in Unterseen ) is a Swiss journalist and television presenter. He has been the deputy head of the domestic specialist editorial team at Swiss television since November 2018 .

Career

Grossniklaus grew up in Beatenberg and then spent several years in western Switzerland, where he graduated from the Lycée Jean-Piaget in Neuchâtel. From 1999 to 2006 he studied communication science and journalism at the University of Freiburg . From 2002 to 2006 he also studied political science with a focus on domestic politics at the University of Bern .

Grossniklaus specialized in media early on. At the age of 17 he wrote the first articles as a local correspondent for the Oberländische Volksblatt (today the Berner Oberländer ) and moderated programs on Radio BeO in Interlaken and Radio Canal 3 in Biel. At the beginning of 2000 Grossniklaus switched to the Swiss radio DRS . As a presenter and editor, he worked for the news programs for ten years and was responsible as a producer for the primetime programs Info3 and HeuteMorgen .

Mario Grossniklaus has been working for Swiss television since 2010 . Since then he has been and is to be seen as a presenter in various information programs: in the Tagesschau , the political discussion program Arena , the SRF annual review , in election and voting studios and special programs. In addition to his work in front of the camera, Grossniklaus was deputy editor-in-chief of Tagesschau and has been part of the management team of the domestic specialist editorial team since the introduction of the newsroom at Swiss television.

Grossniklaus lives and works in Zurich .
