St-Pierre-St-Paul (Romazy)
The Catholic parish church of St-Pierre-St-Paul in Romazy , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was originally built in the 12th century and rebuilt from the 15th century. The church , dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul , was built for the priory , which was founded around 1060 by the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Florent near Saumur .
architecture
Large parts of the nave with the portal , the choir head and the transept , which forms the transition to the higher choir, have been preserved from the Romanesque building .
The two-storey sacristy was added in 1617. In 1873 the rectangular bell tower was rebuilt.
