Immanuel Heinrich Garmann

Immanuel Heinrich Garmann (* 1679 in Chemnitz ; † September 26, 1730 in Copenhagen ) was a German physician and personal physician to the King of Denmark .

Life

Immanuel Heinrich Garmann studied medicine with Georg Emmerich at the Albertus University in Königsberg and with Friedrich Hoffmann at the University of Halle .

After receiving his doctorate , he first became a city ​​physician and later also praetor and councilor in Schneeberg . Then moved to the court of Ansbach as a councilor and personal physician . Most recently Garmann was the personal physician of Frederick IV , King of Denmark.

On July 18, 1724 Immanuel Heinrich Garmann with the nickname Pollux II. Was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 371 ) in the Leopoldina .

The physician Christian Friedrich Garmann was his father.
