Mario Reig
Mario Reig (born December 9, 1965 in the Spanish province of Tarragona ) is a former Spanish football player and current coach .
Career
He started in German football to later move to RCD Mallorca . In 1998 he appeared for the first time as a coach in Almería and after several coaching positions in Spain he moved, also as a coach, to the 1st football league in Guatemala .
Reig is dedicated to examining and assessing football players and teams in the 2nd B-League, 2nd League and 1st League of the LFP for German teams. Reig is married to María Montserrat Pérez Pérez, and has two children.
Soccer player
Mario Reig's family moved to Germany as a child, where he played for SV Grenzland Twist from 1977 to 1982. From there he switched to Spanish football after he was discovered at a beach soccer game in Ca'n Picafort and, at the age of 17, signed for the honorary youth team of the RCD Mallorca for the 1983/84 season. He then played for CD Murense (3rd division), but was seriously injured and had to end his career in the 1988/89 season.

Trainer
When he obtained his national coaching license, his friend José Ángel Moreno (coach of Almería FC) advised him to act as assistant coach with him in order to gain experience. Then he coached two other football clubs in the 3rd division: The "Mazarrón" in Murcia and the "CD Mármol Macael" in Almería.
In 2001 he began his coaching work in the first division in Guatemala at the Antigua GFC , before moving to Cobán Imperial . After his engagement in Central America, he returned to Spanish football, where he took over the position of sports director of FC Algerciras in the 2nd division.
