Mariolina Venezia

Mariolina Venezia (born in Matera in 1961 ) is an Italian writer and screenwriter.

Life

Mariolina Venezia studied film at the Scuola nazionale di cinema . She writes scripts for the television series Don Matteo and made several documentaries herself.

In 2007 she received the Premio Campiello literary prize for her debut novel Mille anni che sto qui . The family novel is about a family in a village in Basilicata over five generations from the Risorgimento to the labor migration to West Berlin .

Venezia worked for a time in France and now in Rome.
