Elisabetta Lodoli

Elisabetta Lodoli (born January 30, 1952 in San Lazzaro di Savena ) is an Italian film director and author.

Life

After graduating in philosophy, Lodoli attended the “DAMS” course and in the mid-1980s got a job in the office of the “Cinema della Provincia di Bologna”. On a scholarship, Lodoli went to Los Angeles, where she received her Masters in directing from the California Studio of the Arts in three years . During this time, her short film Off season won at the Bellaria Festival and had other festival appearances. She then worked for the “Centro di Documentazione delle Donne” in Bologna , for the u. a. La pace a due voci was written in 1995, which deals with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In 2007 Lodoli's novel Questo mare non è il mio mare was published , which received the “Nino Martoglio literary prize”.
