Marion Bekker

Marion Bekker (* 1958 in Bitterfeld ) is a German artist ( painting , graphics). She lived in and around Leipzig for a long time. She now lives in Baden-Württemberg, near Freiburg im Breisgau . She now works as an art and history teacher at the Max Planck High School in Lahr / Black Forest .

biography

Marion Bekker began studying art education in Leipzig in 1977 , which she completed in 1981. Since then she has been working as an artist, art teacher and art teacher. She is a member of the Kunstverein Markkleeberg e. V. and in the art association L'Art Pour Lahr . Since 1986 she has participated annually in Malpleinaire (Eichsfeld, Mecklenburg, Vogtland, Muldentalkreis, Lahr)

Bekker has been working with the Saxon Muldental since she was a student . In numerous pictures she captured the landscape and architecture of this region in an expressionist way.

In recent years she has increasingly occupied herself with abstract painting . In this way, among other things, paintings on the subject of bullfight were created. Her controversially discussed life stones from 2006 are surreal stone structures that rise against a radiant blue .
