Marion Großklaus-Seidel

Marion Großklaus-Seidel (* 1957 ) is a German pastor , educator , university professor and university president .

Live and act

Marion Großklaus-Seidel studied Protestant theology and education at the Ruhr University in Bochum and the Church University of Wuppertal from 1979 to 1985 . From 1985 to 1990 she was a research assistant at the chair for international adult education at the Ruhr University in Bochum. From 1991 to 1993 Großklaus-Seidel worked as a vicar in the Evangelical Church of Westphalia and as a lecturer at the chair for Christian social teaching . From 1993 to 1995 she was a pastor in the church service of the police and an ethics lecturer at the Police Leadership Academy in Münster-Hiltrup . On the basis of the dissertation The Influence of Protestant Adult Education Using the Example of Unemployment Measures at the End of the 19th Century , she became Dr. theol. PhD.

Großklaus-Seidel has been Professor of Ethics and Adult Education at the Evangelical University of Darmstadt (EHD) since 1995 . From 2014 to 2019 she was President of the EHD. She mainly teaches and researches in the field of palliative care .

Varia

Marion Großklaus-Seidel was chairwoman of the ethics committee of the German Society for Nursing Science for about eight years . She is a member of the Grand Convention of the Schader Foundation .
