Marion Krause

Marion Krause (* 1962 ) is a German Slavist .

Life

From 1980 to 1985 she studied Russian and Slavic Philology at the University of Leningrad . After receiving her doctorate in "General Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Sociolinguistics" in Leningrad in 1989 , she was a research assistant at the University of Jena from 1985 to 1996 and a research assistant at the Institute for Slavic Studies. From 1997 to 2002 she was a research assistant at the Seminar for Slavic Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum (third-party funding from the Volkswagen Foundation and the DFG ). From 2003 to 2009 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Slavic Languages at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . After her habilitation in 2004 at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Venia legendi for Slavic Philology, she was a private lecturer at the seminar for Slavic Studies there from 2004 to 2009 . In 2008 she taught as a visiting professor at the Tomsk State University at the Philological Faculty (funding: Excellence Program of the Ministry of Education of the RF). From 2009 to 2010 she was a student advisor at the Institute for Comparative Linguistics at the Goethe University. In the 2009/2010 winter semester, she represented the professorship Jirina van Leeuwen-Turnovcovás at the University of Jena . Since 2010 she has held the professorship for Slavic Linguistics (W3) at the University of Hamburg .

Her main research interests are socio- and variety linguistics, multilingualism and language acquisition (L1, L2 ...), phonetics and phonology in language contact, perceptual linguistics and language attitudes, prosody and discourse, cognition and language, intercultural communication and pragmatics and empirical methods in linguistics.
