Marion Marshall

Marion Marshall (* 8. June 1929 in Los Angeles , California as Marian Lepriel Tanner ; † 24. September 2018 ) was an American actress .

Life

Marion Marshall was born Marian Lepriel Tanner in Los Angeles in 1929. She was discovered by 20th Century Fox in 1947 at the age of eighteen and received her first small roles in Tabu the Just and Daisy Kenyon .

Marshall played her first major role as Lt. Kitty Lawrence in the 1949 screwball comedy I Was a Male War Bride . She also gained fame through the female lead in a total of three films with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis : The Whipping Boy and That's My Boy in 1951 and Seemann paß auf in 1952. Marshall was seen in more than 25 films. She also appeared as a guest actress in several television series, including 1959 in two episodes of Perry Mason . In 1975 Marshall ended her acting career.

Marion Marshall gained notoriety outside of acting primarily through her marriage to actor Robert Wagner , whom she married in 1963. In May 1964, their daughter Katie was born, who later became a television presenter. After eight years of marriage, Marshall and Wagner separated in 1971. Marshall had already been married twice: from 1945 to 1948 with Allen Davey, then from 1952 to 1959 with the director Stanley Donen , with whom she had two children.

Marion Marshall died on September 24, 2018 at the age of 89.
