Marion plates
Marion Platten (born November 25, 1958 in Düsseldorf ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. The 1.61 m tall and 51 kg heavy athlete started for FS Düsseldorf .
In 1977 she won the German championship over 200 m freestyle.
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , she took part in the individual competitions over 200 m freestyle and as a member of the 4 × 100 m freestyle and the 4 × 100 m individual relay .
- In the 200 m freestyle she was eliminated with a time of 2: 06.70 minutes and came in 18th place among 40 swimmers in the overall ranking.
- With the freestyle relay (team: Jutta Weber , Marion Platten, Regina Nissen and Beate Jasch ) she reached eighth and last place in the final.
- The layer relay (team: Angelika Grieser , Dagmar Rehak , Gudrun Beckmann and Marion Platten) was disqualified in the preliminary run.
