Marion Zinderstein Jessup
Marion Zinderstein Jessup ( May 6, 1896 - August 14, 1980 ) was an American tennis player .
Career
Marion Zinderstein Jessup won the silver medal in mixed tennis doubles at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris together with the successful American Vincent Richards .
She reached the final of the US tennis championships in 1919 and 1920 , but was defeated by her compatriot Hazel Hotchkiss Wightman in 1919 and the Norwegian Molla Mallory in two sets a year later . Much more successful was her record in women's doubles, which she won four times in this tournament. From 1918 to 1920 she won three years in a row with Eleanor Goss and in 1922 with Helen Wills Moody . She also won the mixed title with Vincent Richards in 1919.
