Maritim Shipyard is a shipyard in Gdansk , Poland . The company premises are located in the Przeróbka district .
history
The shipyard was founded in 1992 by Janusz Baran. At the beginning, the private company limited you to the construction of all kinds of ship sections. Since 2004, ship repair has also become a main field of activity of the shipyard.
The largest buyers were shipyards in Germany , Norway (e.g. Ulstein Group ) and the Arab countries. Maritim Shipyard delivered z. As the hull then for Greenpeace on the Fassmer shipyard built Rainbow Warrior .
With five shunting lanes in Gdańsk and Gdynia as well as one production facility each in Gdańsk and Szczecin , the company is represented in all major Polish shipbuilding centers.
For years the company was the largest private shipbuilding company in Gdańsk. It filed for bankruptcy in May 2013. The company is currently owned by Albin Baran, Janusz Baran's brother.
