Maritza Pacheco Alpízar

Maritza Pacheco Alpízar (born December 20, 1943 ) is a former Costa Rican soprano, diplomat and lawyer.

Life

Maritza Pacheco Alpízar is the daughter of Julia Alpizar Fernández de Pacheco († March 3, 1982 in Panama City ) and Humberto Pacheco Coto. She studied singing with Oscar Scaglioni and gave a concert in San José en Cavallería. In 1971 she was a delegate in Rome and gave a concert in the Sala Colombo of the Instituto Latino Americano .

From 1973 to 1977 she was chargé d'affaires next to the Italian government in Rome and was also accredited by Enver Hoxha in Tirana . In 1977 she studied at the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali , and in 1979 she studied political science at the University of Miami . In 1988 she replaced Marian Pérez — Se as a member of the Junta Directiva of the Compañía Nacional de Danza .

In June 2007, the Óscar Arias Sánchez government established diplomatic relations with Beijing . On August 22, 2008, Maritza Pacheco Alpízar was chair of the Asociación Cultural Tibetano-Costarricense when she asked Óscar Arias Sánchez to tell Tendzin Gyatsho that the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Costa Rica, Wang Xiaoyuan, asked him not to visit Tendzin Gyatsho allow what this admitted to La Nación (Costa Rica) .
