Marius Mestivier
Marius Georges Mestivier (born July 5, 1895 in Chouzy-sur-Cisse , † June 20, 1925 in Le Mans ) was a French racing car driver .
Racing career
Marius Mestivier was the older brother of the later AC dealer Maurice Mestivier . Marius Mestivier was chief test driver at Amilcar and drove sports car races in the early 1920s . He finished seventh at the Bol d'Or in 1922 (the race was won by his Amilcar team-mate André Morel ) and competed twice in the Le Mans 24-hour race .
Marius Mestivier was the first racing driver to have a fatal accident during the Le Mans race.
