Marjorie Bailey
Marjorie Bailey ( Marjorie Evalena Bailey, née Turner; born November 21, 1947 in Lockeport , Nova Scotia ) is a former Canadian sprinter .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 , she reached the semi-finals over 100 yards and 220 yards and was fourth with the Canadian 4-by-110-yard relay.
In 1974 she was at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch sixth over 100 m and fourth over 200 m and in the 4-by-100-meter relay . The following year she was fourth at the Pan American Games in Mexico City in 1975 and won bronze over 100 m and in the 4-by-100-meter relay.
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, she reached the semi-finals over 100 m and 200 m and came fourth with the Canadian 4 x 100 meter relay.
In 1978 she was eliminated from the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton over 100 m in the semi-finals and won silver with the Canadian 4 x 100 meter relay.
She was Canadian champion over 100 m or 100 yards three times (1966, 1973, 1974) and once over 200 m (1974).
