Marjorie Larney
Marjorie Larney ( Marjorie Lea Larney; born January 4, 1937 in Brooklyn ) is a former American javelin thrower , discus thrower and shot putter .
At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952, she came in 13th place in the javelin throw .
In 1955 she was fourth in the javelin throw and sixth in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in Mexico City . At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, she was eleventh in the javelin throw and eliminated in the discus throw in qualification.
In 1959 she won silver in the javelin throw and bronze in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in Chicago .
She was five times US champion in javelin throw (1952, 1957-1960) and once in discus throw (1954). In 1957 and 1959 she was US indoor champion in the shot put.
