Mark Švets (born October 1, 1976 ) is a former Estonian football player . The midfielder played for the Estonian national team between 1998 and 2001 .

Career

Švets started his career at Tallinna Sadam . Until the dissolution of the club after the merger with FC Levadia Maardu to Levadia Tallinn , he played for the club in the Meistriliiga and won the Estonian Cup in 1996 and 1997. As a result, he made a name for himself as a wandering bird, as he regularly changed clubs. He stayed in Estonia until 2001 and worked for FC Flora Tallinn , FC Kuressaare , Tulevik Viljandi and FC Levadia Tallinn .

In 2001, Švets moved abroad to the Russian second division club FK Dynamo Saint Petersburg . Since he did not manage to assert himself, he first returned to his home country to FC Ajax Lasnamäe . In the following season he moved again abroad to the Kazakh club Kairat Almaty . After another season he changed clubs again and went back to the Russian second division, where he played until 2007 for Spartak Nalchik , FK Uralan Elista , FC Dynamo Makhachkala , Petrotrest St. Petersburg and SKA-Energija Khabarovsk . In 2008 he was under contract with the Belarusian club FC Smorgon .

In 2009 Švets returned to Estonia. For the 2008 from a merger of Tallinna JK and SK Legion Tallinn club Tallinna JK Legion he ran on in the second-rate Esiliiga , but moved again to FC Kuressaare in the middle of the year. In early 2010 he moved to FC Athletics Tallinn in the third division, where he ended his career at the end of the year.
