Mark Boyd

Mark Boyd (* 1972 ) is a retired American basketball player .

Life

Boyd was a member of the University of Southern California (USC) basketball team from 1990 to 1994 . He was on the field in 115 games and scored an average of 7.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per encounter for USC. The 2.02 meter tall winger switched to professional business and was under contract in the 1994/95 game year with the Mexican team Mexico Aztecas, which took part in the operation of the US league Continental Basketball Association (CBA). In 55 games he achieved an average of 11.1 points and 6 rebounds per encounter. For the 1995/96 season he went to the CBA competitor Florida Beachdogs. For the team from the city of West Palm Beach , he played 55 missions and brought it to 11.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

In the 1996/97 season he was with the Japan Energy Griffins in Japan and 1997/98 with the Newcastle Eagles in England under contract. Boyd returned to the United States and the CBA: He played in the 1998/99 season for the La Crosse Bobcats 34 games and brought it to 8.7 points per use. In 1999 he moved to the basketball Bundesliga in Germany . He strengthened TSK Bamberg there and was the second best scorer in the Franconia with 13.2 points per use. Then Boyd went to Mexico and played in the 2001 season for the La Ola del Districto Federal team.

After retiring from basketball, Boyd worked as a geotechnology and nuclear power technician.
