Mark Bradshaw (composer)

Mark Bradshaw (* 1983 in Sydney ) is an Australian composer .

Life

Mark Bradshaw studied experimental music at UNSW Art & Design and also attended the University of Sydney . He is known for his compositions for string quartets, orchestras and cappell choirs. He invited the filmmaker Jane Campion for one of his performances , who was so enthusiastic about his musical performance and from then on engaged him for her film music. He composed the music for her films 8 and Bright Star as well as for the television series Top of the Lake, which she conceived .

Bradshaw lives in London . He has been married to actor Ben Whishaw since 2012 . The couple met in 2009 while filming Campions Bright Star .
