Mark Delaney (born May 13, 1976 in Haverfordwest ) is a retired Welsh football player .
Career
The right-back began his career at Carmarthen Town in Wales. His next club was the only major Welsh club Cardiff City . In 1999 he moved to Aston Villa in the English Premier League, where he matured to become a national player.
Due to persistent injury problems, he announced his retirement from active sports on August 15, 2007. Delaney played 36 times for the Welsh national soccer team .
