Mark Landler

Mark Aurel Landler (born October 26, 1965 in Stuttgart ) is an American journalist. Since July 2002 the business correspondent for Europe and correspondent for Germany of the New York Times , based in Frankfurt am Main .

Career

Landler began his career with the New York Times in 1987 as an assistant, after graduating from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in international politics.

After five years as an editor at Business Week , Landler became a financial journalist for the New York Times in 1995, specializing in media and telecommunications.

From 1997 to 1998 he was a Reuters scholarship holder at Oxford University and then for four years office manager at the New York Times in Hong Kong , where he reported from 17 Central and South Asian countries.

Personal

Landler is married and lives in Frankfurt with his wife, a son and a daughter.
