Mark Strickson

Mark Strickson (born April 6, 1959 in Stratford-upon-Avon ) is a British actor .

life and career

After performing at the National Youth Theater for two years, Mark Strickson completed his acting training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). After that, he appeared in the theater for two and a half years. His first major television appearance was in the television series Angels . He was supposed to be the main actor in the series, but chose a role on Doctor Who . In Doctor Who he played Vislor Turlough, a companion of the fifth doctor . In 1984 he left the series. He and his wife moved to Australia in 1988 . There he studied zoology at the University of New England . Strickson had little interest in acting and instead made nature documentaries. He discovered Steve Irwin , the crocodile hunter, among others .

Since the 2000s, Strickson has appeared on some of Big Finish's Doctor Who radio plays . He currently lived in New Zealand with his wife Lisa and a son .
