Mark Thomas Miller (born May 3, 1960 in Louisville , Kentucky , USA ) is a former American actor .

Life

Miller was born in Louisville, the son of a grain dealer and a painter. He grew up mainly in Glen Ellyn . He earned his first money as a bouncer in New York , including in Studio 54 . Around 1983 he moved to Los Angeles , where he worked as a bodyguard for Van Halen .

He had his breakthrough in 1985 when he was selected for one of the lead roles in The Specialists On the Move . This represented the high point of his career. After the series was discontinued, he received a few guest appearances in series and appearances in a few films. After hardly any role offers were received, he tried his hand at being a comedian , but had little success with it. At the same time, he began writing skits for Saturday Night Live and MADtv , few of which were ultimately used. Therefore, he largely withdrew from show business and only appeared in two supporting roles on television after 1992, the last time in 2000 in an episode of the S Club 7 series in LA

In order to be able to finance his living, he worked as a building contractor between 1991 and 2003 and specialized in handicapped accessible apartments. He then founded a product development company that mainly deals with the design of everyday products. He also works as a rescue diver.

On June 17, 2006, he married Lisa. The two still live in Los Angeles and have two children.
