Mark Wills (2005)

Mark Wills (born August 8, 1973 in Cleveland , Tennessee ) is an American country singer .

Career

Mark Wills won a talent competition at the age of seventeen, which earned him several years of engagement in a music club. In 1996 he received a record deal from the Nashville Mercury label. He made his breakthrough with his first CD, Mark Wills . The single Jacob's Ladder reached a top spot on the country charts. In 2003 he lost his Mercury contract. He signed with Equity three years later.

The interpreter of gentle, sensitive country songs failed to achieve great success. Mark Wills never managed to step out of the shadows of his big competitors like Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson .

In spring 2008, Mark Wills signed a record deal with the Hamburg label AGR Television Records, which will release the album "Familiar Stranger" in September.
