Markel Bergara Larrañaga (born May 5, 1986 in Elgoibar , Basque Country ) is a former Spanish football player .
Player career
Markel Bergara started his career as a footballer with the traditional Basque club Real Sociedad . From 2003 to 2005 he played there in the B-team before he was loaned for the following two years. First he played in 2005/06 for the second division SD Eibar , but with the Basques he rose from bottom of the table. He was then loaned to the second division promoted UD Vecindario . But even with the Canary Islands, he was relegated from bottom of the table. Because of this, Bergara returned to Real Sociedad in the summer of 2007.
